Crystal Castles @ Sin City Friday

November 26th, 2007 by Benjy

Crystal Castles - Promo ShotClub NME presents: The Crystal Castles at Face/Off this Friday 30th November.

This is one of the most exciting bands that have come to Sin Sity as part of the Club NME presents series, and their chiptune-electro-thrash sounds like Nintendo on acid. (Needless to say; I will be down the front and possibly dressed-up as Luigi).

RSVP on the Facebook event page

P.S. Its nice to see the band are supporting Ice Cream Social* with their promo headwear. ;)

Poq Release Single - You Download It.

November 19th, 2007 by Benjy

Poq 'Red Admiral' Cover Art

Poq’s debit single ‘Red Admiral’ is available to download now from iTunes and almost all good online record shops.

You should buy this, not just because they’re from Swansea and they’re nice blokes, but because the songs are great and theres a cracking glitchy-electro remix by Lifting Gear Engineer too. The iTunes download costs £3.16, includes 4 tracks and, huzzah!, its DRM free.

Apparently a plastic version is on the way too, and theres a launch party in the big city (Cardiff) - check out Housefly Records for more info.
