“Ever considered what the future will be like? The world’s already going mad - with boob jobs, liposuction, face lifts and the like… This is only the start…
With advances in genetic technology soon the world will be full of body shops and not the ones you buy your make up from! We’re offering you the chance to take a tour around one such shop and take a look at what the future holds for our society.
Body Shop is a contemporary, devised theatrical experience exploring the future of human evolution and the possibility of shops that sell body parts! Body Shop is a darkly funny and intense production that is not suitable for children or the feint hearted!
‘Body Shop is a provocative and unsettling experience. Mixing humour and social comment in an intimate setting. It’s definatley worth a visit!’
Fern Smith, Volcano Theatre Company
‘…a short but powerful experimental performance…’
Jo Mazeli, local author and illustrator
Tickets for the tour cost £5 and are available from Townhill box office, which is open from 12-2pm during the week. You can phone the box office anytime between 9 and 5 to reserve your tickets on 01792 482054. Alternatively you can contact me directly on 07986 987807.
The shows with tickets still available are on Tuesday 4th November at 9pm, or Wednesday the 5th at 7, 8, or 9pm.. Remember, there are only 16 tickets available for each show and its first come first serve so book early to avoid disappointment.
Look forward to seeing you there,
Sian Stuttard
(Director)”
