Geekthree is new podcast from three Swansea web designers (including me!). Each episode we chat about:-
Tech News - anything from new websites & gadgets, music to terrorists.
Pitch an Idea - we each cook up a potentially-clever/probably-stupid idea for a new website.
Our Week - if you’ve ever done some creative work for a client then you should be able to relate to this feature, as we moan about annoying client problems, and sometimes just chat about life.
Head over to our website where you can find out a bit more, read the blog and listen to our podcast.

Thanks to Stephen Donnelly for supplying us with this month’s header.
“Anyone whos ever visited the A&E after a miss-spent night in town should recognise it…” as the view from the bus stop at Morriston Hospital. I have to admit that I’ve been there.
If you’d like to have your design or photo featured on our header for a month or so, please email us: hello@prettyshittycity.co.uk.
Images should be supplied in JPEG (or similar) and atleast 750 pixels wide by 280 pixels tall.

Thanks to Dan Penman for supplying the next banner for Pretty Shitty City. The photo is of Swansea’s infamous bridge that now sits redundantly on the cycle path along Mumbles Road.
Skating (or cycling) through the bridge reminds me of a level in ‘Mario Kart Double Dash!!‘ …pity you can’t race up the sides and lob bananas at people.

Pretty Shitty City believes that Swansea is in need of a dedicated Indie night, so we’ve come up with Ice Cream Social*.
Our aim is to play an un-pretentious mix of alternative music that you can’t hear elsewhere; to attract a diverse crowd of indie kids, music lovers, arty types, geeks and anyone else looking for something a bit different.
Our playlist will consist of New Music, Indie, Garage Rock, Electronic, Lo-Fi & Underground. If this is your thing then please get in touch, we’re looking for bands, Djs and fans to support and contribute.
Launch night is Saturday 13th October, we’ll be upstairs at Sin City so if you’re about bring £3 for entry and an open mind.
More details to follow, but for now, please come and say hello at our myspace or drop us an email: hello@icecreamsocial.co.uk.
xx

Local tshirt company Swansea Style combine political satire, ethical fabric and Swansea humour in their thought provoking clothing range.
Outraged at the news of Abu Graib, AJ and Ed starting producing tshirt designs for the friends and soon decided that they could turn their idea into a clothing label to help them express their thoughts on politics, racism and propaganda.
Their designs are printed on mixed organic cotton and hemp and you can pick one up from Exist.Outlet or get in touch online.
