Swansea Arts Forum Trust are holding an open discussion about the Arts in Swansea on 31st January at 7.30pm at Glynn Vivien Gallery.
“The keynote speaker will be Professor David Warner (Principal of Swansea Institute of Higher Education) who will be talking about a future vision of the Arts in Swansea and how Swansea Institute is contributing to this.
Afterwards we would like to involve the audience in an interesting discussion on how they see the Arts developing here in Swansea. This affects all of the Art community in influencing the City and County of Swansea to recognise what an asset they have to enhance Swansea’s image. “

A promising new night starting in Mambo, heres the details:
“Acidosis is a brand new night starting in Swansea at Mambo on March 1st - showcasing a wide ranging spectrum of electronic musical styles, from Techno to Breaks and all that is in between.
To enhance the experience we are bringing a sound-system into Mambo that will have the walls shaking thanks to FuckedRightUp. Lighting and decor will excentuate the sensory experience, that promises to be a night of filthy dark beats andbanging madness.
The entry fee is a mere £3, from 9pm - 4am, for your money you will getan overload of music from 2 rooms, the 2nd room will be filled withfilthy acid techno brought to you by George and Rixxy from the FuckedRightUp free party crew.
Upstairs will be a mixture of Techno and Breaks bought to you by Mambo’s 12th Dimension and Swansea’s DJ Sioux. Expect an ecletic mixture of beats and breaks to open your mind and please your eardrums.”

I’ve updated my personal blog recently so if you fancy a look at some of my drawings and pointless mutterings, please check it out www.thelab7.com.
If you’d like to contribute a design, photo, illustration etc. for next month’s header then please email us at hello@prettyshittycity.co.uk.
Images should be supplied in JPEG (or similar) and atleast 750 pixels wide by 280 pixels tall.
